TXT to EPUB - Search and Replace Help Needed

I want to wrap all URL’s in a text file in HTML <a href> tags.

I did it manually to the attached ePub (output of TXT->EPUB conversion) using the calibre editor, but I’d like to automate it in conversion.

In addition, is there some way, other than by using the Book Editor, to suppress the creation (or to remove) first html file in the ePub – the one before the file that starts Chapter 1.
