Lost formats in part of library

Hola!

Somehow, a large number of my titles (300+) in one of my libraries suddenly showed up with no format files. It looks to be a random occurrence,

So I moved those titles out of the normal library into my "Work in Progress" library, which only has those titles. I have the proper cover (.jpg) and description (.opf) files with each of the titles; just no .mobi or .epub format files.

I maintain a "save to disk" copy of the entire library these were in, but that saved library contains ONLY .epub and .mobi files; no covers, no metadata.

I need to merge those .mobi and .epub saved files back into the original titles. I know I can just "add" the entire library, but it is really quite large and would take over 12 hours to pull the entire contents back in. And if I do it one-by-one, it will still take many hours, tho not 12, LoL.

I did look at adding a "Rule" to the Add Books filter, but I didn't see any way to add a rule to "ignore book if it author/title exists" or similar.

So, any one know if there might be an easier way to pull in just those matching .epub and .mobi format files for only these 300 or so titles?

Thanks!

Monty

[edit] Well, the problem is worse than I thought. I had 2 separate backups for my library files, but because I have an automatic backup/overwrite process going on daily, the backups have been overwritten with these bad entries (no format files). So, nothing is there to recover. Thanks for reading my post!
