Calibre not finding my Kindle ebooks

Brand new to Calibre and to Kindle Voyager.

When I click on Device in Calibre, only the Kindle User's Guide is imported into Calibre. I have many other ebooks, but none of them are showing up when I point Calibre to the Kindle.

I am on a Macbook.
