Running on Windows 7 Pro, up to date, with Calibre 2.64 [64bit].
This involves a commercial book, but I can find no copyright statement, and the publisher is well known for packaging out-of-copyright works.
When attempting to convert the attached .epub file to an .AZW3 file the attached error is signaled. Conversion to .mobi works, but that too cannot be converted to .AZW3. However, either of the .epub or the .mobi files can be converted to either .ZIP or .HTMLZ files, which will then successfully convert to .AZW3.
On a somewhat casual look (the damn book IS over-long!) there does not seem to be any loss of formatting or text.
Given the work-around this isn't crucial, but it would seem to indicate a (probably subtle) bug somewhere in the conversion chain.
